Monday Motivation #1 - You, Improved

Monday Motivation #1

motivational monday

We’re starting a weekly round-up of motivational tips and resources that publishes each Monday morning to give you that little extra boost you may need to get going after the weekend.  So, let’s get after it.

Today’s Tips

  • Your challenge: try to find one thing for which to be grateful, do one thing that makes you happier, find something to laugh about, and smile at a stranger.

We all experience turns in life–some good, some bad. When the bad ones come along, it’s up to us to do something about it. To choose to stay stuck, or to turn the ship around. It’s up to us to choose. You may be feeling you’re too old to make significant changes in your life. But it doesn’t matter what age you are, you can always turn your life around. Even people in the final months and years of their lives and started in new directions. Who knows how far any of us will get down the path, anyway?

  • Exercise: some people love it, some hate it, but we all know we need to do it, right? Dumb Little Man offers up 19 ways to get motivated to exercise. My two favorites are to tell a friend that you plan to work out and what you plan to do. Sharing with someone makes you accountable for your workout. Next, pull together a playlist of your favorite songs to listen to during your workout. We have a playlist for you if you don’t have one ready to go.
  • Setting goals is easy. It’s staying motivated to accomplish them that is hard. Our friends at Greatist have 15 ways to keep you motivated.

It all comes down to motivation, and we’ll be honest: We have trouble keeping the fire lit. (It’s so much easier to sit back and think about all the things we’re going to do… eventually.) To stay motivated, we knew we needed some outside help. That’s why we went to the pros to find 15 new ways to reach your goal, whatever it may be.

Do you have any motivational tips? Send them to us.
